The purpose was Saluting Those Who Serve. It was to honor the men and women who serve in the military and are first responders. Instead of the players' name on the back of the jerseys, there were five different words used to define each branch of the military and first responders. Army = Integrity; Navy = Honor; Air Force = Excellence; Marine Corps = Commitment; First Responders = Courage. Coach Napier purchased five of the game day jerseys and these five jerseys will go to auction on May 25, 2024 and the proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House.
